Past experiences are the way many of us make knowledge-based decisions for the future. Tomball Education Foundation had a flagship year, thanks to the support of volunteers, educators, and Tomball Independent School District leaders. We have had many successes and can carry our lessons learned forward, so the future looks bright!
As we welcome 2024, we’d like to revisit some of the highlights of 2023:
January
Tomball Independent School District was a finalist in the H-E-B Excellence in Education Awards. And the Tomball ISD School Board was recognized for its support and innovative ideas that are making Tomball a top Destination District in the State of Texas.
February
Tomball ISD educators received more than $100,000 in TEF grants. We call our school-to-school awards presentations the E-Train Celebration!
March
Thanks to donors like energy-technology company Baker-Hughes, TEF’s Stuff The Bus incentive provided supplies-filled backpacks to district students who need assistance.
June
Our plans began to take shape as we scheduled our 2023-2024 Save The Date initiatives. TEF champions are educators and students, community and leaders who help make Tomball ISD a frontrunner among Texas school districts.
August
The calendar year began in August 2023 and that month is when we officially celebrate our excellent team of teachers at Tomball ISD. A New Staff Breakfast on August 2 gave us the opportunity to say “Howdy” to our new educators. On August 4, the TEF New Teacher Vendor Fair explained our grants program and how TEF can support their visions for programs and projects reflecting the highest standards of education in Texas.
September
The great opportunities that make Tomball schools’ students Texas standouts are only possible through the support of local businesses and organizations. The TEF Donor Tailgate is a fun way to say thanks to our supporters! In September U.S. News & World Report ranked all 3 Tomball ISD high schools among the U.S. Best High Schools.
November
TEF’s yearly gala Boots and Bling was held November 2, 2023 at Tomball’s Majestic Oaks Weddings and Event venue.

February 2024
Our E-Train will be happily rolling across TISD campuses, delivering checks to the winning grant applicants. We’re very proud to be able to support our dynamic Tomball educators and their projects!
April 2024
Our 2024 State of The District luncheon speaker is State Superintendent of the Year Dr. Martha Salazar-Zamora of Tomball ISD. At this annual event, community organizations and businesses can learn more about opportunities and growth within the district.
