TEF March 2024 Recap

The Tomball Education Foundation’s State of the District event is an annual gathering for local businesses and community leaders. It’s an occasion for sharing the successes and opportunities that make Tomball Independent School District an educational leader in the State of Texas. It’s also a way to let supporters know how their help provides a legacy of educational excellence that benefits our city, county, state, and our country.

At the 2023 State of the District, guests toured Tomball ISD’s Innovation Center located on FM 2920. It is home to Tomball Star Academy, an early college high school.

The State of The District 2024 meeting is Thursday at 8:00 a.m., March 28 at the Tomball Early Excellence Academy on Keefer Road. This pre-k learning center specializes in providing a strong foundation of literacy that prepares its students for kindergarten and beyond.

This year’s speaker will be Tomball ISD’s Superintendent Dr. Martha Salazar-Zamora. Attendees will hear about and be inspired by the ways TEF helps our students with opportunities to gain knowledge and skills development beyond traditional classroom programs.

What A Fabulous February!

It’s already time to begin planning for August’s Stuff The Bus program that provides Tomball educators and students with supplies.

The 2023-2024 Stuff The Bus program was underwritten by Baker-Hughes and more than $5,000 in supplies were donated to Tomball schools in need. It’s time to begin planning for the 2024-2025 campaign. But what do the majority of classrooms need? In Tomball, pocket folders, tissues, headphones, and other basic items topped the list.

March 8, 2024 saw incentive-based salary increases for 314 Tomball educators representing all twenty-two campuses within the Tomball Independent School District. The Teacher Incentive Allotment validates the efforts of these classroom champions.

Tomball schools are Texas leaders in learning! With volunteers and TEF support, they can continue to set flagship standards for educational excellence. February 2024 was a month in which the Tomball community and our district can take pride.
