What Is Stuff the Bus?
If students lack school supplies during the school year, TEF makes sure those kids receive support. The April 6-17 Spring 2026 Stuff the Bus will provide some non-traditional items (socks/underwear) in addition to standard school supplies, because the need has been identified by educators and administrators.
When you offer school supplies to disadvantaged kids, it seems like a basic, no-frills charitable contribution. (Your donation is tax-deductible.) But kids receive numerous rewards; your aid can reduce academic barriers and allow students to take advantage of educational opportunities.
For example, one teacher noticed a pupil who never seemed interested in classroom projects; she had an I-don’t-care attitude, but she cared. She just didn’t have the basic tools and supplies she needed to work alongside her classmates. Once she had the materials she needed, the teacher saw an attitude reversal. The student became an avid classroom participant who loved learning. That’s the kind of difference your donation can make!
Having the same school supplies as their classmates helps students-in-need:
- Boost academic performance
- Build confidence and increase self-esteem
- Improve classroom behavior and engagement
- Promote equality among students
- Reduce financial strain on low-income families
Most of us have experienced kindness and blessings from others. As a result, April 28 was named “Pay it Forward Day.” But you don’t need to wait for that day to perform a small act of kindness. The Stuff the Bus spring drive ends April 17. Join us in helping Tomball students help themselves by providing the tools they need for classroom success.

Two of the frequently asked questions we receive about TEF and Stuff the Bus are:
Contact TEF if you would like to donate new school supplies during the year. Each school doesn’t have enough staff to manage individual donations.
Another Stuff the Bus event is planned for this summer. The donated school supplies will be combined and put in backpacks, then distributed to students for use during the 2026-2027 school year.
