First Community Credit Union Donates $15,000 to Tomball Education Foundation

On Wednesday, Jan. 9, First Community Credit Union presented a check for $15,000 to the Tomball Education Foundation to become a Founding Visionary Sponsor. Founded in 2017, the Tomball Education Foundation’s mission is to develop and allocate resources to enrich, enhance and maximize the quality of education for all students, according to the foundation’s website.

“First Community Credit Union is a big believer in education and is passionate about assisting school districts in any way possible. Our donation of $15,000 is just one way we are giving back to the community we serve,” FCCU said in a press release. “These funds will help the Tomball Education Foundation with providing funds for educational projects and activities that are beyond traditional funding.”

In addition, a grant will be created in First Community’s name to help students of Tomball ISD, the press release said, and more than $50,000 was donated back to the school districts in the communities First Community serves in 2018.
